These Terms of Use explain our conditions for you using The Family History Writing Studio website. By using this website and/or buying something from us you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with our Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy, do not use this website.

Use of Website
You can use the website for your own personal or professional use, to write your family history for personal or commercial purposes.
Registration
To purchase any of our classes, courses, ebook or webinars whether they are free or for a fee, you are required to register with this website. A contract exists between us once we send you a confirmation email, after receiving your order and accepting payment for a class, course, ebook, webinar or critique services.
You have to register with us and be signed in to use some features of the website. If you are under 18, don’t register unless you have permission from your legal guardian (usually a parent) to do so. We may ask you to provide proof that you can verify your age. Keep your sign in details private at all times. You must keep your personal information accurate and up to date, especially your email address.
Content
Lynn Palermo is responsible for the content of this site, not including visitor comments, or comments on forums or from contributors. Anonymous comments will not be published and will be deleted.
The content, courses, webinars and ebooks of this site does not guarantee the user a completed or published product. We can’t do the work for you but we will do our best to give you some direction. How you use the information contained in the courses is up to you.
Personal Information and Payment Security
By using this website you have agreed to our Privacy Policy with regards to your personal and credit card information.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may request a refund after completing the purchase but before the services are rendered. Refunds can only be granted within 7 days of the commencement of a class, course or webinar or if the critique services have yet to be initiated before notification of cancellation. No refunds on eBooks. We may refuse to refund the payment on any of the above services.
In the event of the cancellation of a course or class by the teacher, participants will be notified and alternate arrangements will be made such as fees reallocated to another course or class at a later date, if the participant is not available for the future class refunds will be considered.
Confidentiality and Copyright
A large amount of time and effort has been invested in the creation of these products and services. You may not use these products and services to conduct your own classes, copy or reproduce the records (either in whole or in part), or make available, share or publish them unless you have our permission in writing.
You may use screenshots of our website for blog postings, articles and presentations for informational and educational purposes. The website and services provided belong to Lynn Palermo, and again, you must not copy or use them without our written permission. Therefore, you only have a limited license to access the website and to use the content for personal family history writing.

You also agree to keep confidential during and after any classes, course or webinars any information and or material which is shared by other students as a result of class discussions. All class discussion is private and confidential. You agree to not make audio or video recordings of the session, the work of the teacher, speakers or fellow students attending the class or course. You also agree to the fact that all work you present during the course or classes are your own and do not infringe on the copyright of any third party.
Forums
Our forums are designed to create a community between writers. We encourage you to participate to get the most of your class or course. However, there are certain kinds of posts we not allow on the forums, abusive, sexually explicit, hateful, or threatening material including strong language. We will remove posts that appear harassing or offensive, however, we will not be held liable for anything that may get past us that may anger or offend you. Be mindful not to post personal information such as your address, school, place of work, or phone number.
We reserve the right to remove, edit, move, or close any topic at any time.
Customer Service
We aim to offer a website which is fast, accurate and performs well. However, it may not always work as expected. If the website does experience issues, we are not responsible for any losses you might suffer.
Out of Our Control
Things happen that may disrupt our service which we have no reasonable control over. Unanticipated events may occur and we are not liable for any losses caused to you by such unanticipated events.
