What if the “goal” was just survival? Three of my great grandmothers were widowed with 5 or 6 children to feed and care for, plus a farm or orchard to run. Their goal was simply survival against difficult circumstances. They didn’t achieve any huge accomplishments in their lives, but they raised those children to adulthood. Is that enough of a goal? I admire them because it must have taken a lot of hard work, strength and fortitude to do this alone. Is that enough of a “goal” to write about?
It certainly could be. What did survival look like for them? Did anything get better for them over the course of their life?
Fabulous tips, Lynn!
